Got some nice Rhum

So I was looking for some Rhum, and found this site. Never ordered spirits from here before, but figured I'd give it a shot. Got a bottle and it showed up in about a week. Packaging was really secure, like, no way that bottle was breaking. The Rhum itself was pretty good, tasted exactly like I hoped. Easy enough to order, no complaints.

Decent Champagne arrived fast

Got a Champagne Brut. It arrived in 4 days, well-packed. Quality was good for the price. No issues.

Good selection, slow delivery

I ordered a few bottles of Vin de Bourgogne last month. The selection was quite good, I found exactly what I was looking for. Prices were competitive, especially since I bought a case and got the prix dégressifs. Packaging was solid, everything arrived intact. However, the delivery took 8 days to reach me in California, which felt a bit long compared to other international shippers. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the tracking, so that was a plus. Overall, a decent experience, but I hope they can speed up the shipping times.

Reliable for French wines

This was my third order from Vinothèque du Léman, and as usual, they were reliable. I picked up some Vin de Provence and a few bottles of Vin du Sud-Ouest this time. Their range of French wines is consistently excellent, and the descriptions are always spot on. I appreciate that the pricing is straightforward; the bulk discounts are always a good deal. Shipping was about a week to Texas, which is pretty standard for them. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they always deliver good quality wine without any fuss. It's my go-to for these specific regions.

How do these guys compare to Vinatis or Millésima? Anyone have experience with both?

N Nathan Roberts 1 week ago
Vinothèque du Léman feels a bit more curated, focused on quality French stuff. Vinatis can be a bit more about deals, and Millésima is also strong on Bordeaux. They all have good selections, really depends on what you're looking for.

I'd say Vinothèque du Léman often has a slightly better range of smaller, artisan producers. Millésima is great for big names, and Vinatis for everyday drinkers. Quality-wise, they're all solid.

Is this site legit? Never heard of them before but they have some wines I'm interested in.

L Leah Wright 2 days ago
They've been around since 1998, so pretty established. I've ordered from them a few times and never had an issue.

Yeah, they're good. French company, specialize in French wines obviously. Safe to use your card there.

Does Vinothèque du Léman ever do free shipping? Or is it always an added cost?

W William Robinson 1 month ago
They often have free shipping if your order hits a certain amount, I think it's usually around 250 euros. Keep an eye out for that.

Yep, 'livraison offerte dès 250 euros' is a common one. Definitely helps if you're stocking up.

What's the deal with returns if a bottle arrives broken? Has anyone had to deal with that?

J Justin M. 2 weeks ago
I had a couple of bottles damaged once, they handled it pretty smoothly. Just contact their customer service with photos and they'll sort out a replacement or refund.

They pack really well, so breakages are rare, but yeah, they're good about replacing if it happens. Don't worry about it.

Are their 'Grands Crus Classés' actually genuine? Or are there fakes floating around like on some other sites?

S Sean H. 1 month ago
They're a reputable retailer, been around for ages. I've never heard of any issues with authenticity from them. They source directly.

Nah, they're legit. Not a fly-by-night operation. You can trust the wines from them.
